Granada Tapas Contest 2014: the winner



"Espuma of egg and potato with chorizo made with tempura and crumble of morcilla". This is the winner of the Granada's contest that looked for the best tapa in Granada and where more than 70 tapas bars and restaurants participated. Mandala Gastrobar has been the luckiest and their cooker has achieved the prize. They have called the tapa "Alpujarra at Mandala's way". There is a tipical Alpujarra's food with fried eggs, fried potatoes, chorizo and morcilla and they have turned the tipical one into this one. Cool, isn't it?







We have tasted it and we have found it extremely creative because it completely reminds you to the Alpujarra's heart. It's like eatting a tortilla but it's espuma. In eattopia they have deserved the Innovative category.


To add also some critics, I fond the crumble not crumble enough, probably because it had been prepared for a while.



We also taste other tapas that we considered special: gazpacho of cherries or ajoblanco with saumon tartar were surprising. I am even thinking in starting a lover of ajoblanco because it is becaming more and more known in the gastrobars.
